Piano Lessons for Adults

Downtown Montreal or online

For Adult Beginners- Learn in a Relaxed, Encouraging & Creative Environment

Learning piano as an adult is more than learning an instrument.

It’s often a desire to reconnect with something deeper —your creativity, your sensitivity, your expression.

Maybe you’ve always wanted to play.
Maybe you’re coming back to it after a long time.
Or maybe you’re already creative, and you want to explore music in a new way.

A different kind of piano lesson

My approach combines solid musical foundations with an openness to creativity.

You’ll learn:

  • note reading

  • rhythm and coordination

  • technique and posture

  • ear training

  • pieces you enjoy

Everything is taught step by step, in a clear and supportive way.

But beyond the basics, I also leave space for something else: your expression. A way to communicate your emotions, feel truly alive, and reconnect deeply with yourself and the world around you.

Where piano meets creativity

Because of my background in artist coaching and over 20 years teaching the piano, experience as a professional musician on stage, composer, I see piano as more than technique. Because of my background in artist coaching, over 20 years of piano teaching, and experience as a professional stage musician and composer, I see the piano as so much more than technique — it’s a powerful way to express emotions, build confidence, and reconnect with yourself through music.

If you feel called to it, lessons can also include:

  • improvisation

  • playing and singing

  • exploring your own musical ideas

  • developing your creativity through the instrument

This is always optional — but available.

A space to grow — musically and creatively

Many adults come not only to learn piano, but to reconnect with themselves through music.

Lessons can become:

  • a moment to slow down

  • a way to focus and be present

  • a space to create without pressure

You don’t need to be an “artist” to experience that.

Whether you are a professional working in an office, a busy parent looking for a moment for yourself, a retired person finally ready to explore a lifelong dream, or simply someone who has always been drawn to the piano, this space is for you. Maybe you have dreamed for years of sitting at a piano and playing your favorite songs, but never dared to start. Perhaps you thought piano lessons would be too strict, too stressful, too technical, or that you didn’t have enough talent, enough time, or were simply “too old” to learn. These lessons are for people who want a more human, relaxed, and encouraging approach — a space to explore music, reconnect with creativity, and discover that playing piano can be joyful, expressive, and deeply fulfilling at any age.

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to be “good.”
You just need the desire to begin.
